Entrance of Kulang with cave. Required 4 hrs. to reach Kulang from Kulangwadi
Way towards Kulang is challenging, tough & good stamina required.

Water is available in reservoirs in all seasons.
Going towards Alang, after descending from Kulang. All are very much tried.
At 4 pm we were @ climbing point of Alang. There are two patches for climb. 1st is medium & above that 2nd patch of 50 ft. rock climbing after crossing this steps.

No more supports and bolts on this patch for easier ascent

After climbing of 50 ft. patch, this dangerous & risky step welcomes you. Lot of care and precaution required to cross these steps, Exposure to deep valley
We started climbing @ 5.30 pm (Low light) after spending 4 hr. we were at Alang cave (9.30 PM)

After Alang, Madan is our next target
On the way towards Madan from khind, you can see wonderfully carved steps in the rock
1st risky patch
of Madan, there is nothing to hold
A steep wall of rock on one side and a deep valley on the other side!
2nd 40 ft.

There are plenty supports and bolts on this patch.

Only two water tanks from which water would be available only till February
One can stay on the fort in the cave, which can accommodate around 15-20 trekkers.

ReplyDeletewhile climbing those rock-patches your lead climber has used safety ropes, so it is not free-climbing... free-climbing involves no safety ropes; you are totally on your own...
but its not safe they didnt use any QD or belayer.

But don't have expertise in setting up rock climbing eqpt nor do i have any is it possible to do amk without eqpt ropes etc and pls suggest sequence for this trek and number of days required
